This month’s My Envy Box has all the summer essentials you would want to use to get ahead of this scorching heat. After all, who wants to be all sweaty in summers? So, to help you forget your worries, Bipasha Basu (Style editor, Fashion accessories) of The Label Life has curated this box specially for all of us!
Bipasha Basu from The Label Life shares, “As Style Editor for accessories, I have curated a signature summer essentials box that will take you from pool to party in a heartbeat. Have a fabulous summer.”
With Bipasha Basu’s wishes and My Envy Box’s elegant box, this summer is definitely going to be an elegant affair. The products in this Beauty Box as always are all high-end and from top brands, some even foreign. Let me introduce all the products one by one.
1. BBlunt Spotlight Hair Polish for Instant Shine (full size, INR 535 for 150ml)
BBlunt claims, “This lightweight heavyweight gives even the dullest hair a glossy, smooth finish. It’s about maximum shine with minimum fuss. Step into the spotlight. Specially created for Indian hair. Protects from the environment and heat styling damage.”
How to use: Use on dry hair. Shake well before use. Hold can six inches away and spray a light mist evenly around the hair, focusing on mid-length and ends.
- Provides protection and reinforcement against pollutants and adverse Indian weather.
- Water-like thin consistency.
- Comes in a convenient, travel friendly spray packaging.
- Protects from heat styling damage.
- Transparent spray.
- Lasts a few hours, enough to go out and be back in time.
- Hair gets oily in no time. Being a person with normal to oily hair, this comes as a really bad variant for me. Makes hair greasy, heavy and frizzy after some time.
- The shine is not clearly visible as one would expect.
- Leaves a bad buildup on hair.
- Loaded with chemicals. Cannot be used everyday due to the same reason.
2. Fran Wilson Mood Matcher Lipstick (full size, INR 590)
Fran Wilson claims,” Each shade changes according to your body chemistry for a truly “personalized” lip color! Super-long-lasting 12-hour formula won’t wear off, even when eating, drinking or kissing! Experience the rich, natural moisturizing powers of Aloe Vera and Vitamin E.”
Now while it does change colour, the colour is really bright. The application is easy but be sure to apply carefully. If it gets outside of your lip-line, it’ll stain your skin and not come off. The colour is pretty and low maintenance, yes, but, sometimes if you wish to change the lipstick to match some other outfit, it won’t happen. While the claim is that it stays for 12 hours, on me it stayed for almost 2 days when I tried it for the first time. Worse was that it wasn’t coming off even with make-up remover. So while I wanted a lipstick that stays all day long, be careful what you wish for, haha!
3. O3+ Milk Scrub (full size, INR 385 for 50gm)
O3+ claims, “Anti Bacterial Milk Scrub formulated with real milk, helps to moisturise & exfoliate the skin while removing black-heads and white-heads. Moreover it helps to get a clean & bright complexion.”
How to use – Take a dab of the scrub and massage it all over the face. Don’t rub it in too hard and avoid using around the eyes and breakouts. Use thrice a week.
It’s been only a week since I’ve been using this scrub but I must say that my skin feels softer and brighter every time I use this. I’ve used other products of this brand that I love and this one definitely comes on top of that list! Never had a problem of black-heads or white-heads but yes, how could anyone say not to a clean and bright complexion?
4. Rene Furterer Paris – Hair Care (sample)
Rene Furterer claims, “Rich in carthame and nut oils, Carthame Moisturizing milk shampoo provides the scalp with comfort and restores suppleness in dehydrated hair. Essential fatty acids, vitamin B5 and a specific moisturizing complex help ensure optimal re-hydration, nutrition and protection for the scalp and hair. Coating agents protect dry hair and facilitate de-tangling. The hair regains softness, suppleness and shine, it is light and bouncy.”
How to use: Apply to the scalp, emulsify and rinse. Proceed with second application and leave in for 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Rinse in case of contact with eyes. Proceed with application of Carthame Gentle hydro-nutritive mask.
5. Roberto Cavalli – Paradiso Azzurro (sample)
Roberto Cavalli claims, “Paradiso Azzurro is a sparkling celebration of the beauty of the Mediterranean coast. A mix of soft and delicate dewy floral notes, with intense aromatic hints of a crisp and embracing sea breeze. The initial accord evokes a subtle Mediterranean breeze: a touch of citrus with a zesty note of bergamot blends with the top notes of lavender. This breeze softly blends with the aroma of the jasmine petals. The captivating floral middle note creates the most sublime almost carnal balance between the jasmine and the fragile innocence of its dew covered petals. The intense woody base notes of cypress and musky cashmeran create a warm and embracing aroma with a hypnotic and lingering perfume.”
I hope that this helps you know the products better. This box includes 3 full sized products and 2 samples. The 5th product sample of the perfume had an option so you might end up with either, it’s a mystery. This edition, just like all the others is priced at INR 850 only and can be purchased via My Envy Box website. You can also opt for a monthly or an yearly subscription. The latter will of course cost you lesser than the former.
